National Park - America the Beautiful Quarters

Vicksburg National Military Park preserves the site of the American Civil War Battle of Vicksburg waged from March 29 to July 4 1863. The park located in Vicksburg Mississippi also commemorates the greater Vicksburg Campaign which led up to the battle. In 2010 the United States Mint began issuing 56 quarter-dollar coins featuring designs depicting national parks and other national sites as part of the United States Mint America the Beautiful Quarters Program.
