Harpers Ferry National Historical Park is located at the confluence of the Potomac and Shenandoah rivers in and around Harpers Ferry West Virginia. The park includes land in the Shenandoah Valley in Jefferson County West Virginia; Washington County Maryland and Loudoun County Virginia. In 2010 the United States Mint began issuing 56 quarter-dollar coins featuring designs depicting national parks and other national sites as part of the United States Mint America the Beautiful Quarters Program.
